Northwest Arkansas: A Story Worth Preserving
Northwest Arkansas has always been a special place.
Long before the rapid growth, the new developments, and the attention from across the country, this region was built by people who believed in community. Neighbors who knew each other. Local businesses supporting one another. Families building lives and passing down the values that shaped the culture of this place.
Today, Northwest Arkansas is growing faster than ever. New people are arriving. New neighborhoods are rising where farmland once stretched for miles. The region is evolving in ways that few could have imagined just a couple decades ago. Growth brings opportunity, but it also raises an important question. Who is preserving the stories of the people who built this place? Who is capturing what Northwest Arkansas felt like before everything changed? That question led to the creation of SO NWA.
A Message from the Hosts
Northwest Arkansas isnโt just where I live. Itโs home.
I grew up in Rogers and watched this region evolve from a small community into one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. Like many locals, Iโve seen farmland turn into neighborhoods, small businesses grow into institutions, and new families arrive looking for a place to build their lives.
That growth is exciting, but it also made me realize something.
If we donโt capture the stories of the people who built this place, they can disappear.
The So NWA Podcast started as a way to preserve those voices. Conversations with the people who shaped this community, the people leading it today, and the people helping build what comes next.
Those same conversations are also what shape my work in real estate.
Because when you truly understand a community โ its history, its people, and what makes it special โ youโre better able to help others find their place in it.
Northwest Arkansas has given a lot to me and my family.
This podcast is one small way of giving something back.

Guiding Principle
“Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
MARK 9:35
At its core, SO NWA is built on the idea of serving others.
The podcast brings together people from all walks of life to share their experiences and perspectives. Each conversation adds another voice to the story of Northwest Arkansas.
Some episodes are lighthearted. Others reflect on the past or explore the future of the region.
But every conversation begins the same way:
By listening first.
Meet the Hosts
Juan Carlos
Juan grew up in Rogers and returned to Northwest Arkansas after spending more than a decade working in the hospitality industry in Southern California.
Hospitality is an industry that teaches you to understand people.
Every day brings new personalities, new situations, and new stories. Over time, you begin to notice the small things โ a tone of voice, a look on someoneโs face, the way someone walks into a room. You learn that everyone carries something different with them.
Working in hospitality meant stepping into thousands of those moments. Some guests arrived celebrating something joyful. Others arrived exhausted from travel, stressed from work, or dealing with things no one else in the room could see.
For a brief moment, it became your responsibility to create a place where they felt welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of.
Those years shaped the way Juan listens, the way he connects with people, and the way he approaches conversations today.
After returning to Northwest Arkansas, Juan continued serving the community through leadership roles managing large teams and complex operations, including facilities exceeding 900,000 square feet. His work in operations and community leadership has kept him closely connected to the people and organizations that help shape the region.
Today he also works in real estate, helping individuals and families find their place in Northwest Arkansas while continuing to stay involved in the growth and development of the community.
His curiosity about people, their experiences, and the stories behind them eventually led to the conversations that became SO NWA.

Enrique
Enrique brings his own perspective and personality to the podcast, helping create the natural chemistry that makes each conversation feel relaxed and genuine.
As someone representing a younger generation of Northwest Arkansas residents, he brings curiosity, humor, and thoughtful commentary to the table.
Together, Juan and Enrique approach each episode less like an interview and more like a conversation between neighbors.
